The large public bath's famous Olympic bath
The bathtub is long and narrow so that you can feel closer to the valley scenery.
The bath has a view of 18m for men and 13m for women.

The view of the valley where the source of the Mogami River flows from the window. Spring, the season of melting snow. Feel the breath of the mountains. Summer, the season of shining fresh greenery. Listen to the sound of the source. Autumn, the season of beautiful colors. Golden shining autumn leaves. Winter, the season of silvery white snow. Snow blown up by the river breeze.

The history of the famous "Olympic Bath"
The Olympic cauldron that tells the story of the Showa Olympics
オリンピック風呂について
For the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, the Olympic flame was transported from Greece and after arriving in Japan, it was split into two parts, one in Hokkaido and one in Kyushu, and each was relayed to Tokyo. As it passed through Yamagata Prefecture, a cauldron was set up on the balcony of the Yamagata Prefectural Office, and a lighting ceremony was held. The cauldron used at that time was made from stone quarried from Shirabu Onsen, a hot spring in the area.
At the same time, in October 1964, a new large public bath opened at the hotel, which was named the "Olympic Bath" to commemorate the Tokyo Olympics.
After the Tokyo Olympics ended, we were given the Olympic cauldron that was used at the Yamagata Prefectural Office, and it is now on display as a symbol of the Olympic Baths.
Currently, you can enjoy the second generation "Olympic Bath," which opened in 1991.

The Philosophy of the Famous "Olympic Bath"
To allow you to enjoy the view of the valley at your leisure
The original Olympic bath, completed in 1964, was a mixed-gender bath measuring 18 meters. The current Olympic bath is the second generation, and although it is separate for men and women, it is 33 meters long. The most distinctive feature of our hotel's famous bath is its length.

Everyone enjoys the view
The biggest selling point of our hotel is the view of the valley where you can see the source of the Mogami River. We want everyone to enjoy that view. The bath is long, following the valley, so that everyone who bathes can enjoy the view.
rational
There are quite a few large baths with square or circular tubs. But is there anyone who bathes in the exact center of a perfectly round bath? Normally, you would place your back against the edge of the bathtub. The owner of our hotel thought that the middle was unnecessary, so he made it long and narrow. A long bath is inevitable, do you understand? We'll also introduce other points about the Olympic bath.
Hot spring outlet
The Olympic Bath is supplied with fresh, slightly hot water from a thin pipe on the side facing the view. This is also a way to allow you to enjoy the view. If you try to bathe with your back to the view, your back will get hot (but not hot enough to burn you). We want you to enjoy the scenery of the four seasons, rather than watching other people wash their bodies.
Not scary
The Olympic bath's bathtub and floor are not tiled, but made of Shigaraki ware ceramics. The floor is heated using waste water from the hot spring. It's uncomfortable to have cold feet in a bath. The hot water used is effectively used to heat the bathroom, changing room, and hallway before being drained.
